Salop Teaching Partnership is proud to have been delivering Initial Teacher Training (ITT) with The Priory as our Lead School since 2013.

We are a Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin based partnership working with schools, academies, independent schools and further education establishments across the county.  Our unique mix of partner schools ensures that our trainees experience teaching in a variety of contexts and key stages.

We firmly believe that we are ‘stronger together’ and that partnership and collaboration between practicing teachers and professionals in different schools is the only way to continually develop and improve teaching and learning for the benefit of students, parents and the communities in which we work.

Our programme is delivered in partnership with University of Chester who share our passion for collaborative working.  The University have a long standing history of partnership, working with schools and alliances across Merseyside, Halton, Cheshire, Shropshire and Wales.

The Priory School was awarded Teaching School Hub status in 2021 which led to the development of the Shropshire & Telford Education Partnership (STEP).  STEP is an inclusive partnership of schools working collaboratively to deliver Initial Teacher Training (ITT), Appropriate Body Services, Early Career Framework (ECF) and National Professional Qualification services across the county.
