To be eligible your degree must be equivalent to a UK honours degree.
You may be asked to apply for a UK ENIC Statement of Comparability which will tell us whether you degree is equivalent to a degree gained in the UK.
Because some degrees achieved outside of the UK are considered directly comparable, we advise you to contact us and provide a scanned copy f your qualification so we can look into whether you will need to obtain a statement of comparability.
You can see further information on our Qualifications page.
We are currently offering School Experience Programme sessions at The Priory School.

The programme is a full time course starting in September and finishing in July.
Although the programme map will vary slightly from year to year, there are around 12 days where you are expected study at University of Chester. You will be studying mostly in subject groups, with the wider university core, and those studying with other Lead School Partnerships.
In addition to these 12 days, the University will lead on 20 Intensive Training and Practice (ITaP) days. These will be broken down into blocks of 5 days and will focus on areas such as lesson planning, modelling, assessment & questioning and adaptations (to support learners with additional needs).
Each ITaP week will consist of a mixture of lectures at UoC, online planning, and delivery of lessons in a school. Because the school will be organised by UoC, it could be out of county.
You could be placed at any one of our Partner Schools though we aim to place all trainees within a 45 minute travel journey. (though this may not always be possible)
We will take your personal circumstances into consideration when choosing your placement school. For example, we would not place you in a school that your own children attend, or a school where you have worked in a different role.
Once you have been accepted onto the Course, we will ask you if you have anything we should take into consideration when choosing placements.
